I know I am way overdue for a OOTD post. Last month, I was given a great nursing internship opportunity -so I spent my days living the scrub life. With a only a month left before school starts, I’m getting back into the C&C&C swing-of-things. Above all, thank you for all your continued support. The messages I’ve received over the last few weeks have been so inspiring. I promise to respond back to every single one.
The Outfit: I’ve been fawning over this DailyLook leatherette skirt for ages. I swear - every blogger from here to LA has been rocking this style skirt for the last few months. Check out Jessica of Tiny Red Shoes in a similar style skirt here. The skirt goes with nearly every item in my closet. However, my one gripe: it’s short! The kind of short that would make you abandon any items you may have dropped on the ground.
I couldn’t really wait to make an OOTD post for this swimsuit from Lord and Taylor - but one will come so, so very soon.
P.S. Here’s a link to the swimsuit on Nordstrom’s website! Lord and Taylor no longer has it on their site but if you’re lucky enough to have a store near you - check to see if they carry it! I got mine for much, much cheaper than Nordstrom’s with Lord and Taylor’s coupons. And for reference, I bought a size 14.
So… honesty time! - When the summer began, I made it my goal to lose enough weight to feel confident enough to post a bathing suit picture on my Facebook. Then I dug out this gorgeous Gisela Ramirez swimsuit I bought last year and it helped me remember- who the hell cares how much I weigh? Confidence doesn’t come with weight loss - it comes with self-acceptance. So I put this bad boy on and spent the rest of my day dancing and swimming.
